Glossopdale Harriers

Next race in main championship: Radcliffe 10 mile trail race on 7th February. If you're interested in joining the club, this would be a good place to meet members.

Next race in fell championship: Chew Valley Skyline (7th March) - preentry recommended.

Glossopdale Harriers is a well established and friendly athletics club based in the old market town of Glossop in the High Peak District of North West Derbyshire.

Glossop is surrounded by hills and in the summer (and winter) months most of us like to concentrate our efforts on getting up onto the edges and high moors of Bleaklow, Shelf Moor, Kinder, Glossop Low and the Nab to name a few. We fully appreciate that fell running is not everyone's idea of good fun and many of the club also take part in road running and cross-country.

As an athletics club we stage a number of local races; including The Herod Farm race and the Shelf Moor race. The Shelf Moor race is a counter in the Fell Running English Championships in 2010. This is our way of putting back something into the sport in return for all the pleasure we get out of it.
