31 Harriers participated in one or more of this year’s club championship races, a pretty impressive showing. Only 3 of those managed to complete 6 races and therefore maximise their scoring opportunities - perhaps a change of format should be considered next year?
Veteran, John Pollard who has been in consistently good form all year romped away with the championship after a storming sprint for home. Paul’s early pace setting faltered (an ironic reflection of his typical race performance) but he managed to cling on to 2nd place from Andy Wilkins.
In the women’s competition, Kate did just enough to edge home. Alison came home second, improving with each race.
Well done John and Kate! And a big pat on the back to everyone else!
