22nd May - Old Counties Tops


 

This one's going to go down in history as one of the hardest runnings of the Old Counties Tops race, with sweltering heat and dry conditions causing 27 out of the 84 pairs to retire, including Lindsay Palmer and Bill Buckley, and Mark Vogan and John Hewitt. Despite Julien's usual aversion to heat, Mark Ollerenshaw and Julien Minshull managed an outstanding 5th place, 12 minutes ahead of Pennine's Adam Perry and Muir Morton.
