The Championship Rules

 

Very similar format to last year with a few small changes. This year we have increased the number of races to 15 (including the road races) in order to give a bigger choice. However, to still reward those who compete in more of the races, the final points totals will be calculated from the best 6.

This year any 6 races will count from the championship list, one road and fell are no longer compulsory. Points will be calculated as previous years with 30 points - 1st, 29 points - 2nd ...... (31-n) - nth place. Again we will be awarding prizes for 1-2-3 in the Main and Ladies championship.

This year there will be no speciffically selected road races as a new idea is to use season?s best times because they are directly comparable. So rankings and final points will be based on seasons best times for 10k, 1/2 marathon and marathon distances (officially measured!). Therefore, if you do a road race, it's important to send details to the forum otherwise I will not know to include them!

Hopefully you'll again agree there is a nice mix of races in this year?s championship.
